Montana Wedding, Headshot, and Portrait Photographer

Photos of real.

real /reel/ adj.

  1. not staged, forced, or performed; genuine.
  2. honest and unpolished in the best way; true to life.

see also: candid, documentary, authentic.

"Photos of real." is my way of saying the goal is simple: make photos that feel true. Not staged, not forced, not built around trends. I strive to capture honest moments, honest people, and the way it actually looked and felt. Whether it’s a wedding, a headshot, senior portraits, or a family session, I’m here to document what’s there. I'm not there to inject my idea of what life should be like.

Because when you strip everything else away, authenticity is the only thing that really matters. It’s what makes a photo hold up years later, when the outfits, locations, and “perfect” ideas don’t matter anymore. You don’t have to perform or be a different version of yourself.

Show up as you are, do it your way, and I’ll take care of capturing the real stuff.

About

Who am I?

I’m a Missoula-born photographer, and I love photography because it gives me the chance to capture the truth of real life.
I try to live by this saying: The way we spend our days is the way we spend our lives. Life moves fast, and a photograph lets us hold on to a small piece of it for years to come.
When I’m not shooting, I’m usually making music, playing video games, or traveling with my wife. I also help out on her food truck, Aiko’s.
